I hope he remembers to include the ice sculpture scene:

Of the two actresses mentioned, how about Carey Mulligan as Jessica 6 and Christina Hendricks as Holly?

But, more importantly, who will play Jessica?

Good evening fellow runners! ;)

I thought I'd share some news, in case you haven't heard. There's some renewed excitement regarding "The Remake":

Logan's Run races back to big screen
August 22, 2007

I know it's controversial whether or not a remake is a good idea, since the original is what it is to us fans... but the news is interesting. I had wondered if The Island was similar enough to the LR storyline that it would nullify interest in the LR remake.

I really enjoyed Sunshine, it'd be great to see a neo-Logan's Run that well-directed and visually exciting.

Also, as I mentioned in tokyolove's petition entry, Amazon has episodes of the TV show available via *download*. (although I myself am not crazy about this format!)

*runs on* ^_~

goldenrod21: Run Logan, Run....

I didn't know there where others out there who believed in the same things I did, that Carousel is a Lie! This is a great group, I am glad I stumbled across it. Out of curiosity, who else wishes they had a crystal palm lifeclock? That would be totally excellent.

Also, I made two icons of Logan, one with text and one without. They're not all that impressive, but I enjoy them. Feel free to take them, credit or don't, all in all I don't really care. Hopefully someone out there will enjoy them as much as I do.

rhube: Hi

Hello thar. I'm a long time fan of Logan's Run, and I was delighted to find this community. Whilst I'm here I hope you don't mind my pimping another comm that I'm trying to get going: blond_sideprtng. It's for the appreciation of all things to do with men with blond hair and side partings, 'cause I realised that there are quite a few such gentlemen who are very attractive and have been in some really cool stuff. Michael York in Logan's Run was definitely one of the foremost gentlemen I was thinking about. So, in case there's anyone else here who feels the same way...

I confess, I came this way looking to pimp the comm, but I totally intend to stick around, I'm so pleased someone made a community like this :o)

[Edit:] And before you get scared by the first post, I don't intend this community to be all about the slash - I just wanted to post something to get the ball roling Find the user info here: http://community.livejournal.com/blond_sideprtng/profile

Sign the petition for the release of the original TV show, which was apparently somewhat decent:

Can it get any stranger? let the posting begin!

Seriously though, I've been a fan of Logan's Run for many years, since I was a teenager and came across it on television late one night. I was hooked from then on. I wasn't old enough (or born yet actually) to see it in the theaters, but fingers crossed that the remake lives up to (and surpasses) the original. Having enjoyed the film so much, I went on to read the Logan Trilogy. The Trilogy and novels are sometimes available at half.com and ebay. Hopefully, the book(s) will be in print again if the remake - supposedly being worked on by Bryan Singer of X-Men and The Usual Suspects fame - ever gets out of production. My favorite character from the 1976 movie is Jessica, played by Jenny Agutter.

And yes, Box is creepy.
